After walking through a number of houses I was surprised at the number of people who didn't take the time to clean. They generally knew a day in advance what time we were coming. The worst was a lady that was taking a bath and told her kids to just let us in. The place was a disaster and we couldn't get out of there soon enough! I'm also surprised at the number of short sales and bank-owned homes that are a total mess. Yeah, you're getting a good deal as a buyer, but I'll be the banks could get more money if they just hired a maid service to go clean the place out. Nice article.
