Sandpiper


Sandpiper golf club is located in Sun City Center Florida United States. The original course was built in the year 1968 and it’s a private golf club featuring Bermuda grass greens with a year-round golf season. The original course design was created by Mark Mahannah in 1968 and then revised by Ron Garl for the reopening in the year 1985.

The Sandpiper golf club is a 27 hole facility that originally opened with 18 holes designed in 1968. The third nine the lakes was opened in 1985 designed by Falcon Watch Designer Ron Garl. All three of the nine holes are designed as a uniform par 36 and are four sets of tees which range between a challenging PGA level 3258 yards to a modest 2717 yards.

The most difficult line holes is most likely on the lakes where there is water on almost every hole including a 389 yard par four. On the third hole there’s an extremely narrow landing area with an uphill blind shot to the green. This is one of most challenging par fours in Florida.

In order to play on this course you need to be with a clublink member or be a member of a club corp business. Daily golf rates are extremely affordable but the membership fees are required for perks and access to the golf course. With a clubLink membership you are entitled to play some of the best courses in Florida and across the world.

The Sandpiper golf club is a silver level club and is perhaps best known for its species greens and difficult valley fairway designs. This is a course with some exclusivity, history and lots of prestige. Not only is this a course that pays host to many respectable corporate tournaments each year but many local events in Sun City, weddings and charitable events as well.
