Bradenton Florida

by Linda Reynolds

Located just south of the Tampa Bay area in growing Manatee County, Bradenton is a fabulous place to explore art and historical attractions, have fun in the sun enjoying the beach and all types of water and boat adventures, plus we are a golfer’s paradise!

Bradenton is home to numerous businesses, including nationally known Tropicana Products Inc., the famous juice maker, and Champs Sports, and plays host to many fun family attractions and events, including Winter Wonderland, Get Downtown Downtown, the Old Main Street Market and several other festivals along historic Old Main Street and beautiful Barcarrota Boulevard, the brick-paved street along the scenic Manatee River.

If you are looking for an area in between Tampa and Sarasota, Bradenton is a great choice. It is close to the beaches, contains lots of culture and is a great place to retire to or raise a family.

In the September-October issue of Where To Retire, Bradenton/Sarasota was named one of eight best places to retire.

Other cities also named were:

  • Ocala, FL
  • Phoenix, AZ
  • San Diego, CA
  • Myrtle Beach, SC
  • St. George, Utah
  • Santa Fe, NM
  • Brevard, NC

With so much to do here, this is a great place for people to retire. Miles and miles of gulf coast beaches, golfing, museums, boating, fishing, theaters, shopping and more! It’s all located here in Bradenton!

In the March Issue of Art Calendar magazine, Bradenton was also named one of the top cities in the country for artists, because of the Village of The Arts.
