I’ve spent 24 years in real estate, but before that I worked as a computer consultant. That might sound unrelated, but it isn’t — the same instinct for actually diagnosing a problem and finding the real fix, instead of a quick patch, is what shows up now when I sit down with a homeowner in a hard spot.
