It’s true that a room’s color is individual, but generally speaking a dark room won’t catch a buyer’s attention as quickly as a bright room. There are ways to brighten a dark Palmetto room, and it can be surprisingly simple to do so.
Way to Brighten a Dark Palmetto Room
A white ceiling. Who would’ve thought? You don’t have to paint the whole room to open it up. Simply paint the ceiling white.
How’s your lighting? If you want to brighten up a dark room, turn on the lights and open your curtains. With energy efficient bulbs and the sunlight, it doesn’t cost much.
White or neutral color paint. Again, this doesn’t have to break the bank, but oh, what a difference it can make.
Use metallic to your advantage. It’s surprising what a little silver or gold will do for a dark, drab room. Accent with the right pieces and watch how they can illuminate a room.
Remove the solid interior doors. You don’t want to remove exterior solid wood doors – that’s understandable. However, another surprising and simple fix is to remove solid doors and replace them with glass doors.
Brighten dark walls with white art and mirrors. If you just have a wall or two that seems too dark, you can make it pop with white picture frames and art.
A large mirror. Another way to brighten a dark Palmetto room is to hang a huge mirror in the room. Of course, it has to be tasteful, but if you’re creative, you can find projects online showing how easy it is to create your own work of art.
Mix neutrals and white. We’ve discussed how a white or neutral room can brighten a dark room, but this tip adds class to a room. Mix white and neutral colors on your walls and furniture – even your paintings. You’ll love it.
Are there ways to brighten a dark Palmetto room? Absolutely!
