Becky Troutt (who just happens to be my daughter) and I went to dinner last night and decided to go somewhere where we could dine outside and watch the sunset. So we went to one of our favorite places to have dinner. It was so relaxing and it reminded me of the reason I moved here to Florida 11 years ago. Tropical breezes, music in the air, palm trees whereever you look, sand under your feet.
After dinner we walked the beach and waited for the sunset, it was great to take the time to unwind from a busy week. I need to do this more often, I just get wrapped up in the routine and forget to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. I live in paradise, but often forget to appreciate the area I live in.
The sunset was beautiful and Becky got some great shots, she takes better photos than I so she gets assigned the task. Guess I should take a class in photography to remind me not to get too much ground, center the picture, etc. Anyways I digress. The photos were beautiful and I have included one of them here. Later I will add a slide show of the rest of them.
So the moral of the story is this, take the time to appreciate your surroundings, you live where you live because something drew you there. Go back and reconnect with that reason and take a bit of time to unwind and regroup.
