Most people driving SR 70 have no idea it’s back there. Lionshead is just 102 homes tucked into East Bradenton (34203), with no CDD and a low HOA.
What makes it unique
Homes were built from the late ’80s to early 2000s, so you get what new construction can’t sell you: mature trees, roomy lots (many a quarter acre or more), and space between you and the neighbors.
Who lives there
Long-time locals, move-up buyers who want elbow room without paying Lakewood Ranch fees, and people who work in East County and are done with long commutes.
Price range
Recent sales and listings have run roughly $400K to the low $500s, depending on size, updates and pool.
The hidden gem
Jiggs Landing Preserve, a few minutes away. It’s an Old Florida county park on the Braden River: launch a kayak, rent a boat, or paddle upriver to Linger Lodge for lunch.
Why buyers overlook it
Search filters. Buyers set “built after 2010” or only search the big master-planned names, so Lionshead never shows up. And with only a handful of sales a year, you have to be ready when one lists.
